Oh............
I had mine bolted down with a threaded rod. Double nuts underneath, one not on top.........through the stud hole (not you) then a big washer and a wing nut. Never a problem and easy on/off............at least till ya get a real tire mount!
Not many people tailgated me either........I think they thought the tire might fall off!

thats cool ARCH but my bed consists of two plates of steel that take up 3 foot by 3 and a 1/2 foot.with the back half being right over the gas tank.so i be wanten one of those try pod things.i have enough steel i just need the hub to secure the spare to.i'm gonna come visit you in feb.i'll be layed off.i'll be driving the ford though,is that OK in your driveway???dontoe said:Oh............
