I've been looking to purchase a tow rig with around the same mileage as your truck.
It would only be to tow not a daily driver. Should I look for something with lower mileage? Diesel engines run for a good 250,000 miles with out a tune up, right?
Have you had any major problems? It looked like the smaller powerstrokes have issues.

I bought mine new , it's the last year of the 7.3 . Only very small problems so far , normal stuff . Very happy with the f 250 . Stay away from 6.0 engines . I turned down $20,000 cash in jan . It's a great truck , new f250s are $50 and UP !!!!! I have heard stories of 300,000 miles with just normal wear and tear . I could never go back to gas after towing with a diesel . Mine is a 2003 model . Some 2003s had 6.0 , but I got one of the last with the 7.3 .
Great trucks but get ready to pay $$$$

Diesel's will often go 250 or 300k + , but that normally isn't without regular maintenance.
We have 4 of those at work. The 7.3. In 350, 450 and 550 box trucks. They are abused by the drivers. The engines are solid, but I swear the electical systems must have been designed by Jaguar. Failing quite often. All have over 200k on them.
