nissan i think. Did you ever think of getting a custom leaf pack made. Most spring shops can make any size you can imagine.

it is a nissan patrol mq series,i would like to get a set of alcan or deavers for it but with shipping it will be close to 600 delivered to alaska.i want ot get my jimmy finished before i spend that much on this one.

Cool patrol. How'd it end up in Alaska?

Specs or a build thread anywhere?

patrols are pretty cool. my first 4x4 vehicle was a 1967 nissan patrol someone gave me. that thing was a beast. kinda wish I hadn't sold it. what motor do you have in yours?

it is a 1981 mq lbw-4 door
it has the 2.8l inline 6 cyl,4 spped, divorced tcase,h200 front diff-open,h233 rear diff-limited slip with 4.62 gears.mine is from switzerland and still has the swiss plates.only mods i have done to it was a spring over axle.it was left here in anchorage after the people toured south america and north america.guess they didnt want to ship it back to europe.
so far it has amazed me how well it works off road.i have had the hood under 3-4" of water with out a issue.it is one of 30-40 in the usa.

So that thing can be licensed here?

I know guys who have wanted to bring the newer ones from the '90's over and pretty much got no where with that.

Cool rig none-the-less.:cool1:

Dang Mike, your shop floor is dry :wink1: . When are you guys going out next? I got the fenders trimmed and am ready to go.

not anytime soon.i now have to build a new crossmember since the driveshaft can only droop 2" at the diff before it hits and the shocks are too short now lol
