about 30 seconds into it someone locked his hubs though, darn cheaters. his truck is a 4 door long bed k30 dually with a ramjet 502, I put up a good fight ,at one point ran ot of room and up to the wall. Lots of fun though.:D Ill have to do it again when my hubs show up for the front axle.

damnit Shawn, i guess like you said,,,you enjoy beating on your rigs :doah:

i am just hearing that trans goin UUUNNNNGGGH !! OOOOOOOOWWWWWW,,,QQQUUUUUIIIIIIIIIIIIT !!! SSTOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!!!!!
:haha:

waiting for one of the drivelines to go BANG F.U. I QUIT !!! :doah: :haha:

Ive always wanted to do that down here...None of my friends have ever wanted to man up and do it on pavement though.

with pavement i was kind of worried it would start bouncing and break something at first but it seems to just squat down and take it, im still curious on where the failure point is an when. My bet is the rear u-joint.

My bet is you'll find out sooner rather than later. :D :waytogo:

FOUND IT!

Got the truck way the hell in the air last night... then proceeded to continue the fun, I did a quick check before getting on the high way and heading home.. hmm oil on the oil pan:thinking: So thought, well thats normal its a chevy, but sadly its got only 27k on her..

Closser inspection found a cracked oil pan:doah: my drag link rotated around at somepoint and made contact on one or more or more of the landings. So now its more important than ever to get the coil overs and bump stops in.

All in all the truck did fine, although after seeing a truck at sema I have some serious thoughts about going a ratical new direction:crazy:

Look ma! No brains!!! :haha:

so, I am taking off for two weeks at the end of the month.

trying to get a game plan going to make the most of my time,

t-case rebuild and twin stick with cable shifters still need to be done
-address rear driveline, maybe a cv
-rear axle truss
-front axle truss and and track bar mounts
-redesign the t-case mount
-frame repair and beefing near the track bar mount
-bump stops
-mount the coil overs

The t-case is a huge concern, Ive nailed the 205 and drug it a few times too many and its ripped the tubes to pieces, its still held on by the mounts but nothing is connecting them in the middle now. I am thinking about mounting the t-case to a full skid plate so its all one drop out.

Up front I need to make a new engine cross member, and maybe new mounts? Currently my ac bracket is touching the frame so things have moved a bit:doah:

Coil over mounts, hoops and engine cage, currently too much load is on the drivers side frame rail and the track bar is ripping the frame to pieces from hard landings.

I really enjoy jumping it and trying to get some big air so I think its time for a cage too. I have two ideas for this, remove the front and rear window "rear is currently already busted out:mad:" or cut the top of the cab off to make it easier and reinstall after all the welding is complete. I have to do some paint work on the cab anyways for im game for what ever it takes.

Also need some rockers and sliders, the whole left side of the truck is hosed, so time to swap on a new bed, door and fenders, also thinking of building a tube radiator support since the plastic head lamp supports keep breaking to pieces and hood pins.

so much on the list of kind of blinded on where to start.

i'd say start with what will keep the truck running - i.e. tcase mount, engine cross member, etc. then immediately follow with a cage, keep it tame in the desert till you've got the cage. then do the rest of the cosmetic and less-saftey-related items in whatever order after that.

not to be nosy and it may have been asked before, but how the hell do you pay for all this? maybe i need a career change :haha:

Most of that won't take any $$ besides some steel and time, he already has the coil overs.

Let me know if you need any help.

And I thought the rear was already a C.V.

Don't forget Tie rod.

I say cut the roof, and when you do, I want to watch...
