The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

have you considered an exo cage? I think that with LOTS of thinking and LOTS of effort, they can be done VERY nice and tastefully and it might significantly increase your chances of keeping that cab for an extended period of time.

LOL looks good !!!

I will say this , you could take a Crowbar to a feather bed and tear up the crowbar!

I bet that damage will happen on the 1st trip out.

I believeyour fun factor only stops when something is broke.

I think we are dealing with the kind of demented mind who gets out of the truck laughing when something explodes. :haha: "Dude, that's awesome!" :haha:"I've never seen _______ do that before!"

the top needed to go anyways!:D

so did you break something when you did that? its been so long i dont feel like trying to find it lol

Not a fan of an exo at all.. the purpose for the cage is to save me not the truck. They made a milion of these things.. just get another cab:D

I do notice of exo trucks that they still get dents, the cage still bends and its now wider.. so no thanks to that. This cab lasted 4 years, longer than any truck Ive ever had.

I think you should get it all pristine again, sell it, wait a few months then e-mail the buyer a link to this thread just to see their reaction. :)
Then take the cash and dump it in the buggy and wheel the crap out of that.

Screw that !!!! sell the buggy and dump the money into the truck!! Fullsize full bodied rigs rock!!! anybody can wheel a tubed out rig it takes some skill/luck/crazyiness to wheel one that still has 95% of the factory sheetmetal !!!! lol

I love this thread man keep it up!!

any updated carnage??

Been busy working on other projects, the trans in the buggy went out, now I have a rebuilt unit going in but I decided to redo the passenger floor..

Then I was annoyed with my tie downs on the trailer and the lights, so several hours later the jack is relocated, tool box shuts, drive over ramps are in progress and upgraded to all led brake lights and round side markers that are led..

Then.. decided I was annoyed with my side yard so spend the weekend hauling several loads with a dump trailer..then it had huge wiring problems.. then fixed that..

The discovered the 06 will lay down some serious rubber with the air bags up.. then helped lift a my buddy's k30 project, dropped the tank, repaired some crap and got it to run.

Holy hell of a sidetrack of a weekend:doah:

so... for the 07.. this week I will finally go down to the shop and paint the hood and fenders, then I can put it back together and start on the roll cage project and sliders.

Its busy busy busy time right now:D

The entertaining part is the hood was the straightest part of the truck. Would have gladly just bought another but at 500 bucks for the one I like ..and the reality it might get bashed it seemed like the better approach to just fix it.

After a stupid amount of time and effort my new fenders are on, the frame is surprisingly a bit tweaked..dunno how:haha: So it involved some pulling, cussing and reworking to get the fenders even close. I am not happy with the passenger gap but.. again the fact that I could be doing this again in a few months tells me not to get to worked up over it.

Found a perfect grille for 100 bucks on craigslist then a perfect set of headlights too, man she almost looks too pretty now.

Moving right along finally. Lots to do!

Also reworking my trailer a bit, It had no fenders when I snagged it, and honestly it does not bug me other then looks, but.. what the hell.

Bent up some tube and added some diamond plate, along with repairing the jack I tore off and added some led lights, next needs some ramp mounts, sides on the drive overs, tires.. non gay rims, a front rail, work lights and paint!
