I was waiting on you to chime in when I posted that:haha:

Back to progress..

Had to yank the drivelines out.. figured 3 years later is as good of a time as any to finally rebuild the 205 and add my twin stick kit.

Jason4x4 and I got the 205 together with no issue and I owe him a huge thanks.. he has done many of these and his mechanical knowledge really trumps mine.:thumb: And with all the time he saved me I had time to chase down the missing parts:haha:

Ordered the new twin stick rails from jkw, Ordered them monday, had them friday and was notified during the process that they were processed, then again when they shipped.:waytogo: Very happy with my purchase.

Now on for a rant.

I was NOT happy with the customer service, nor the ridiculous wait time that far exceeded the original promised date when I ordered my twin stick kit and parts from NWF. I will say I am happy over all with the product, the design.. but the initial part sucked...

Then my pretty parts sit in the box for two years or three:confused: I get everything out and see no instructions.. no big deal.. they are on the internet like everything.. still happy. Then I see I am missing a couple hardware pieces.. no biggie.. I go dig for it and come up with something from my bolt bins. Still happy... then I realize I am missing the 1/2 all thread.. now Im annoyed.. but can get that anywhere.. still sane.. then I realize I am missing this special little hardware piece that bolts the cable clevis to the shifter lever.. **** ME

Then my 205 kit.. I ordered and specified that I had a divorced t-case.. sure as **** I get a standard ford kit and now im missing seals:shame: Not a huge deal.. but it cost me another 25.00 plus running around to 3 auto parts houses, waiting 15 minutes for a driver to bring the seal and o-ring book back.. then at the other shop I had to painfully watch the manager teach the new guy how to run a micrometer and use me as the test run dummy. I spent more time finding the right seals and going to 3 stores than I did working that day.

Id really really encourage others to get some recommendations on the vendors they support. Projects never seem to go right the first time and mistakes are made.. I fully understand that but there are those that put forth the effort to avoid tripping up an order and they fully rock:D

I have a few vendors names in my sig because it really, truly, absofreakinlutly makes a damned difference who you buy from. Mistakes happen but seemingly they happen a crapload less with good vendors.

Dan at ruff stuff, kurt at diy4x, nate at ballistic, my driveline guys, trevor at wfo concepts and even zack over at atoz.

ok rant off

purrrrdy

My rear, front and spare rear. Also if I really had to I have the ability to run the spare rear on the front with the conversion joints I carry or by swapping my spare yoke. the funny thing is the old one/now spare in the pic was this pretty a time or two.. stick a truck in the sandy wash to the doors though and the pretty paint goes bye bye..

Tomorrow ill grab some all thread and heave hoe this sucker in and cut a hole in my floor for the shifters!

Unfortunately there are a lot of stories about bad experiences with NWF - it's too bad because their stuff looks very good, but I don't think I'd ever risk ordering from them.

did you find the clevis end? if not check with big rig shops, they are used on airbrake cans in all sorts of sizes/shapes.

Agree with your vendor list, the best there are. Also have ordered a handful of times from ECGS

No, its the small pin that goes through the clevis ends.

worst case Shawn, McMaster will have the clevis pins...

and yup, NWF brings the suck....

NORTH WEST FAB SUCKS BALLS F-U GUYS

So I chased down my missing parts..yay

I go get a couple feet of 1/2 inch all thread... yay

Go to hook it all back up.. there is a DOM tube sleeve for a piece of 3/8 all thread for a support piece.. well the 3/8 all thread was so short I could only get a 1 thread of engaugment:rolleyes: So I had to slice off almost a 1/2 off the DOM sleeve.

Yay I think.. I finally can shift this thing. I set everything middle of the road and very lightly go to shift it. Seriously.. very lightly. The front output cable comes apart and breaks. I could not have put too much force on the shifter because the assembly was in my hand not bolted to the floor.

wtf. 100 percent sucked.

ordering sucked, service sucked, communication sucked, delivery time sucked, and finally product sucked. 100 ****ing percent sucked.:angry1: Id call and bitch but if they did not care about me while taking my money I can bet after the sale they sure as hell could care less.

**** YOU NORTHWEST FAB.

That really sucks!

Note to self and others. Never buy anything from NWF

Im pretty angry, but I wont go as far to tell people not to buy from them.
What I will do is share my experience and tell people to do their homework.

Also I bought these a couple years ago, they sat patiently waiting to butt**** me, but nwf may do things differently now days. No idea and I wont be finding out anytime soon.

nope, they haven't changed... eventually they'll hopefully run out of customers.... wish i was an all-access member over at Pirate, I'd definitely start a thread over there..

also, they had a ton of broken cables a few yrs ago till they changed vendors.., probably got one of those......

That and the pretty lights on the dash are my favorite feature..

besides they give me something to look at while driving off road:grin:

Not sure of your setup... Did you by pass your ABS pumps or are they still built in? How is your braking? Just trying to figure out the best way around the system...

as a more recent customer, I can assure you that they still do business the same way. Should change their name MP&I FAb - Missing Parts & Instructions,
and don't forget the extra import fee you get charged by UPS.

Nice drivelines :D

Still built in, truck brakes pretty well in my opinion and others. I can lock all 4 up if I try hard enough. Im pretty well versed in the way the truck handles but the rear does indeed lock up first so a proportioning valve would be a nice add on.

If I ever get to it I would like to remove the abs line manifold on the frame.

Currently though I am distracted with trying to make a 09 truck tail gate and bumper not only fit but function as well though:doah:
