The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

as a more recent customer, I can assure you that they still do business the same way. Should change their name MP&I FAb - Missing Parts & Instructions,
and don't forget the extra import fee you get charged by UPS.

Nice drivelines :D

Bummer and Thanks:D

New project for the week

09 bumper and tail gate

Currently making the tail gate fit, lots of welding and new latch mounts left to do though but moving along, at least it fits in place now. Also ditched the smoked lights I had for some nice clean stockers.

Still need to pick up a new bumper this week but having a hard time finding a chrome take off one.

Should look pretty slick and I like the blocky look of it more.

Same nut who thinks of putting tacoma tail lights on a blazer.. I have issues, serious deep, non curable issues:crazy:

New gate fit the opening per say, but the hinges, location, size and latch have a different range of motion, and placement. Last night played with the welder, metal and cut off wheels and it works. This weekend Ill get around to taking it back off and cleaning it up with new brackets.

I did have to cut a " L " shape out of the bottom of the gate being the gate is taller in a sense. Ill source a bigger sheet metal break and make a piece for it.

Nothin much to add, but tonight I got asked to go out and pull a stuck friend from a hole. Bummer was my 06 was loaded with crap for work, the trailer was buried in the back yard with crap on it..

So decided to drive the thing out there. 80 miles.. no issues other than loosing yet another lower headlight and the grill...freaking plastic parts are kiling me $$$ Got all four off the ground but I just did not really feel comfortable with jumping it too much. I have 40 inch mtr's, not sure but I feel real tippy compared to the iroks:confused: Still had my fun, just feels a bit off.

Truck also turned over 32k miles tonight:D

whoops:D

I suppose my coil over is not supposed to be hitting my hood:doah:

Went out to the mud bog last weekend, mud bog here always sucks.. well no mud in the thing. Go figure the one time its actually good on one lane I show up with mtr's on.. Got DENIED . Called everything from show truck, to people asking if I borrowed my dad's truck:doah: Made it though barely just twice

Ended up bored after while, headed for the trailer and I noticed they had installed some new doubles near the pit for the dirt bikes. Lined it up..scoped it out.. and went for it:D Truck just cleared them and came down nice.

Went another round and by this time the people who had watched the mud bog were now watching my asshattery  Went a few more rounds and then decided to not just hit one double but go for the second set.

Then decided yet again to go bigger and thats when my bump stop didnt stop my bump:haha:

Broke bolt for the coil over, ripped the tabs to hell and put the coil over though the fender, radiator overflow and into my just repaired hood:doah:

When it bottomed out the panhard was squished between the crossmember and the axle truss and it too took a vacation.

I only ask that the truck drive its self on the trailer and it did, so its not in time out or anything

Next mud bog is sep 10 or 11th.. so time to get to work:D

Hopefully I can get the video that was taken, it was fun as hell:D

damage..

-the fender I just replaced is trashed
-the hood is dented and tweaked
-grill came off then i ran it over
-headlight is mia
-coilover needs a new res hose
-tabs and bolt "needed to replace anyways" going with 3/8 now
-lower bumpstops and make a wider base for them to contact

Always wanted me some 44's:pimp:

Found a fair deal on a new set of tires and jumped on em, just on some cheap wheels for now till I decide what type weld on bead lock I want to do to them.

Went to pull the trailer out being the truck was on it and realized last time I parked it I ran over a stake and took out both tires on the right side of the trailer. Truck had a bad valve stem, so unloading it, then driving it around and off the trailer was interesting..

I also fixed the tabs, bummer is the king coil over needs a new hose and a the hiem/ ball thing in the upper assembly replaced as mine is in pieces and missing parts of it, coil over also apparently went through my overflow tank, so i need to deal with that too.:doah:

Goofed around and tried to dirty her up but my camera man sucks, maybe some action shots this weekend.

Got me a bitching front shackle/receiver slide in deal thingy from trailgear for 29 bucks too and slid it into my front mount I had made.

So.............. guess's on what the 44's will break first :D :doah:

At the very least will be the fenders.

The shackle could be flipped again real easy but it will move the rear axle forward a bit and maybe mess with the pinion angle. I do have some 4 inch blocks and u-bolts.. but not sure if I want the leverage.

not sure what to do but at least the kings will be easy as they are already all the way up.. lots of room to adjust them down and lift the front if wanted.

My fenders are at risk for sure!

Your wallet is at risk.......

i know:doah:,

Already looking at a set of shafts for the front and maybe some reid knuckles, these things might have opened up a huge can of worms. Sheet metal is more at risk than someone in a salt state now.

Just got back from a trip to the grocery store and took the long way, damned things ride better than the balanced 41 inch irok radials I had. I really wish I had never bought those tires, the truck only ended up ever putting 3000 street miles on them anyways. Live and learn:1zhelp:

Took some pics down at the end of the road, loved the stuffed look.

It's not a work truck so much anymore since you have the 06.....so tube out the bed and make the bedsides come on and off!:D

I like having the bed for trash or parts or what not. The 06 has no bed space after a tool box, nitrogen tanks, and two pack rat bed slide box's. Really sucks not being able to move things with it.

What ever happened to you adding a roll cage?

My helper on that project is knee deep in a cummins swap in his crew cab, ill let him sweat the summer out while its 110 here and finish his project first. :haha::popcorn:

Figure by the time its cool should be a nice time to drag the old cab over and start working on it.
