hmmm wonder if I had been playing in the mud at any point..

Not sure what to make of this steering box either, it looks like it had a leak on the top maybe on the non pressure side but its nasty:doah: I might say the hell with this and just get a reman unit:dunno:

Neighbor came over about sun up and offered to help:haha:

Im going to go clean up and go get breakfast with her.

All you nuts who cant get along with your neighbors are doing something way wrong when a kid like me works through the night on a truck and my 70 year old lady neighbors reaction is to offer me breakfast and help...

Odd story, this old lady is the new cat lady "old one i knew behind me passed on last year" and last night one of them was ran over. I live close to a main road and some guy hollers over and ask if I can pull a cat from the road:zombie7:

Poor cat thank god was not a fluid mess but was dead and sadly was one of the ones she takes care of and had paid to have spayed. Ended up throwing it away and now over breakfast have to tell her that her favorite cat is dead :doah:

More progress later, some how I need to get this cab in the air today with out going for a darwin award..:dunno:

crane..forklift.. tire staking, my china truck and a tree, a truck full of laborers at 10.00 cash each or??... could get interesting:pimp:

lol your a lucky sob, my neighbors moved in, built a 6ft fence along our property line/driveway and then yell at us when we shovel the snow over the fence. Scream at us when adjusting a carb at 7pm...and hate when we talk to loud in our driveway a night. could be cuz they are drunken losers... either way.. ur a lucky guy!

ya i lost track a while ago, shawn you need to write on your windows of each a number. so we can keep track lol

Wait, how many vehicles do you have now? :dunno:

hmmm well I do projects for other people to so it might seem as though I have a crap ton.

Mine are the:

07 chevy single cab......mud truck, general mayhem
06 chevy ext cab..tow rig....... recovery and work truck
05 china mini truck on sami axles.......mini 4x4 for quad trails & yard work
4 seater buggy chassis from kore offroad....... hardcore 4x4 action
97 dodge single cab 1/2 ton.. um.. back up work truck and mpg rig lol

At my house there is another mini truck, a blazer and a car stuffed in a hole somewhere back there. The jeep I was working on for the neighbor is done and gone, the jeep I built for my friends son is done and the corvette project I did is done but might be coming back for some more upgrades. I sure like projects:doah:

The mini truck #2 is on hold while my friend and I build mini truck #1, number 2 is way to much of a back saver right now for me to want to take it apart yet:D

The buggy I am game planning on. Right now doing my homework on axles, thinking a ford 9" up front or a 14 bolt :pimp:

Right now my focus is 100 percent on the 06..the next mud bog is the 22nd.

So I have 9 days to finish the building the 06 as well as redo the rear suspension and swap in a new trans in the 07:doah: GOING TO BE BUSY!

Im still under the impression he won the lottery at somepoint and just never told us. ;)

Man you are an animal!:saweet: I wish I had your energry/drive to work through the night on my projects. They would sure get done faster, but the wife and kids might have something to say about that:haha:

Man what kinda job do you have that can afford you to do all of this.. im jealous to the max!!

It is more about choices. I do no have a wife, kids or any thing crazy yet so it leaves some left over for toys, I also do not have to many other crazy hobbies so I am sure that helps.

Im no different that many of the other guys doing build threads, the one thing I have a lot of though is time so it makes my builds look more aggressive than others.

Funny as hell day. Put the 6.0 and trans in my mini truck and went to the car wash to pressure wash it. Well on the way there the thing stopped running and I had to be pushed by my buddy who was following me in my new dodge. Took a pic while being pushed and hauling the motor lol.

Truck should come down some more, I had left one of the crossmembers in and hoped I would be able to leave it but its sitting on the springs so ill yank it out tomorrow.

Morrrrr progress, finishing up the front clip tonight, driveline measuring, t-case, wiring and some and the rear axle.

I need to kick some ass, tomorrow my appointment is at 1pm for the new exhaust and I have to get it down there lol

Not much to say other then     :waytogo: :waytogo:

actually, how will that wheel/tire combo ride on the street ? Is it even possible to balance them other then possibly internally (as in airsoft BB's or equal) ?

Awesome work as always Shawn, if there is ever a contest for the most "interesting/ insane/ funny/ carnage filled thread" you win :thumb:  :haha:

Looking good, how much lift do you think you will end up with..? Looks perfect height for those 37s, i know with the 6.0 it will go down some more. Wow your pretty motivated...lol

Shawn have any of those big arse towing mirrors laying around??? My dmax needs some, stupid car washes!!!!:doah::doah:

Well good news and bad news.

Bad news is I wont be making my exhaust appointment, good news is I just saved a ton of money by switching back to Gieco..seriously.:haha:

I had to go see a customer this morning so my plans got shot, last night i got the front clip on, wiring finished, axle out of the old frame, steering box and lines on and got to crank it over.

still left..

-rear axle swap
-front brakes and beeding
-trimmng on the front crossmember
-install the hood
-install the utilitybed
-t-case
-drivelines

I need to do some homework on swapping to a 241 as well and see what I need to do with the wiring on it.
