The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

No problem dude, glad I can help. Wish my skills were up to snuff for bigger projects but I'll help anyway I can.

Stopped by the shop on my lunch break, here is the results.

Should look good at ejs.

Little over 4 hours and it's on the way to Moab. Passed 3 nights I didn't leave him until 1am. I left tonight knowing he is making it.:thumb:

Have fun buddy, wish I could have gone on it's maiden voyage.

At 5 am I still was mounting the grill, tail gate, filled and bled steering, spare, painted stars on it with the stencils, installed the hood, fenders, ammo can console, first aid kit, drink holders, cleaned up the wiring, bla bla.

Was literally running from tool to tool and parts.

Got it done and on the road..

What the heck, I wasn't expecting a response for a couple days. You're in Moab, get off the computer and go wheeling. :)

Well that didn't take long.

The rear spiders were welded previous to me getting this axle.

I blew the weld Job up, put holes in the cover and destroyed the pinion gear.

So..a factory E locker diff went in its place last night after some grinding welding, driving and tapping of the housing.

Rob and Morgan who attend blazer bash know yotas and came to help make fast work of it. Ordering some custom harnesses for it and I'll be playing with it by next week :)

I leave Wednesday for country thunder in florence and several days "hopefully" of wheeling this thing.

Had some teething issues but was great to cruise around.

The shocks don't have enough oil in them and valving is crap took 400 psi lol. Handing the willys to the campbells when I leave town in a couple weeks to get fixed.

The battery took a crap, made for a lot of jump starts. Bought a new one in town.

An o ring failed on the coolant log that goes to the water pump. I ended up making am o ring out of racer/rescue tape. Worked like a charm and glad I carry it.

Never heard of it, looks bad ass.

Buying some for all the vehicles :waytogo:

I've used it mostly for other people lol.

In the past in baja I have seen is used to make a water pump to engine gasket, used to repair a oil line and I used it on my 07 4l80e pressure line a few years ago when the an fitti b g wasn't right.

awesome stuff.

Hopefully the same for me!

That tends to be what most of my carried tools are used for.

Will definitely keep a roll in my boat backpack though. Cant tell you the times i end up fixing other people's boats on the water.

Probably would have kept me from repairing a wet exhaust leak with beer cans and zip ties the last time too......:haha:
