My 91 Burbs A/C has a leaking compressor and a leaky rear A/C expansion valve. It was never really cold when it did work so I am curing the patient by cutting off the head and replacing ALL A/C components. What I am looking for is brand/model recommendations from owners that have had good lock with brand X and have been using it without failure. I have found compressors and condensors that are 134A ready.

Compressor
Condenser
Accumulator/dryer
Evaporator core front
Evaporator core rear
Hoses
Orifice tube
Rear expansion valve
Inline filter
O-ring kit

Got dryer for dads burban off rockauto. Sourced a compressor locally from Napa to assure we got the correct one(mounting holes/fitting style) lots of options online. After installing everything took in for a charge and the shop had to use special washers to seal the compressor inlet/outlet. Apparently when they reman the compressors they machine out the ports and design it to use a sealing washer to get it all sealed up. Blows cold!

So what have you done with your truck?

I had 134A in my '90 and had good results.

After losing the compressor, I have changed to the parallel flow condenser from Spectra, and I am using R12A, which is called dangerous by some on the internet.
So far , I have great performance from it, but no long term report.

My truck is running R12. The compressor, front evaporator and condenser are from a local AC shop, couldn't tell you a brand or part number. Drier, expansion valve, orifice tube and o-rings are all from rockauto. Front hoses were rock auto parts, modified by a local shop to accommodate the new style compressor. The long hard lines are original, rear hoses and rear evaporator are original.
