theft proof stuff

I have been looking at all the theft proofing methods on kill switches adn using multiple switches in sequence to be able to start the truck, but no one has actually said how to do it or showed any pictures. i would love to put a fuel pump kill switch on and maybe some inline switches that must be in a certein order but i dont know how. can someone show me pictures or a detailed write up on how to do it? i just had my neighbors truck broken into a week ago and im kind of scared for my baby. i appreciate it

Problems with the phrase "Theft Proof" aside what you are talking about is putting a switch on the power, or positive side, of the item. For a fuel pump it's to put a switch, keyed or toggle, inline with the power wire to the pump. This switch can be located under the hood, under the dash, in the glovebox, anywhere you deem accessible to you but not obvious to Ner-Do-Wells.

The theory is very simple and how deep you go is up to you.

I bought some relays from partsexpress.com and they have a free bosch relay wiring guide #500-001 It has schematics to wire up relays for alarms and ignition kill switches. I also installed some of the round style fuse holders as kill devices instead of switches so I can pull the fuses and the coil is dead and so is the fuel pump. How many of your local crooks carry fuses.

i have the typical cut the HEI main wire and run it to a toggle kill switch and have the toggle hidden. and if that aint enough cause im always paranoid, im even wearing my tin foil hat as we speak. i have a fuel cut off valve hidden inline somewhere on the truck. so basically if the crook finds the kill switch, he might get the truck started and after about 50 feet its gonna run out of gas on him

only reason i got all this crap on my truck is i leave it at my parents house and dont see it for a while so it could disapear and i wouldnt even know for a week or so

I just bought and installed an alarm. It's pretty nice with some neat features. It's got all the standard stuff with auto locks, open the door, break the glass, etc. It also came with pins to use like door pins where I can set one in my hood and another in my tailgate. If the pin is activated via opeing the tailgate or hood, the alarm will sound. It's also got a provision for a motion detector in the bed of the truck. Right now, I've got it set to notify only me and not sound the alarm. I would really like to catch somone effing with my shiznit.

How long does it take to push the wires through the fuse holder and twist them together?

I use the kind of fuse holders that are panel mounted, and are mounted thru the bottom of the dash. What do you think, I have labels on then that say KILL switches. I also have a Clifford alarm system. These other devices are just extra insurance.

I have one of these, and one of these, and an alarm, and a kill switch. talk about paranoid...

i used a set of "printer port" connectors, then i randomly ran the fuel pump, igniter,ecu and i coil signal through it, using all the same wire guage and color. it is placed under the dash, very easy for me to get to. but if the would be thief wants to by pass it, he would have to jump or re-conect the right wires together. could take awhile, if he don't fudge anything up, causing it to not start regardless.

btw, its not an actuall switch, but rather i used the male connector, on the vehicle side, the rant jumper between the female connector, so when both are connected it completes the curcuit. pull out the female connector and there is no current going to said circuits.

I use one of those 9 pin computer connectors on my GN and I cut into the crank signal and injector circuit. It is a jumper like you said. If it is not plugged in it won't start.
