But dude, it's a bad ass Chevy Step side :D

:haha:

Either the seller or one of his buddies put in the high bid, its a pretty typical ebay trick.

The idea is that if a potential buyer sees that "somebody else" thinks the truck is worth that much, then maybe it is.

Somebody spent a lot of time and money on a very ordinary truck of no particular importance. What a waste of a perfectly wheelable stepside. It should have at least 38s on it instead.:D

They did a real nice job RESTORING That truck but Its not even close to "an original" as they seam to project. Maybe thats not what they are trying to say but I get the impression as so. I just think it should state that its a restored truck. I mean obviously it isnt original and has some custom touches. But you can tell its been torn all the way down and restored. 1 it isnt a factory color GM's early 80's red is less orange and darker 2 GM never used gloss paint under the hood 3 the body/paint work is better than factory.

I may be out of line but something about that ad listing just doesnt come off as legit, besides the price.

Yeah...I got the impression they were trying to pass it off as a 'survivor' in some sort of miraculous condition as well.

No firewall ever came out of the factory looking like that. They all had body color paint half covered with that gross looking black lumpy sealer stuff sprayed along every seam.

My favorite part was this...

Current bid:US $27,900.00 Reserve not met

So ironic that the first bid is obscenely high and still somehow fails to meet the reserve. I'm betting reserve is $27,001.00

It's purrtee indeed, wrong color of my favor - But well done none-the-less.

I bet the outer right body has a ding or something - He didnt show that angle in the entire album of 20 pics.....

friend of mine bought a mint 85, same drivetrain and condition. paide $5500

I bought a '87 sub with 58Kmiles on it for $1500.Not as nice as that but pretty close!

The seller (Nigerian scammer) put "antique" in the title, too. Last I knew, a vehicle had to be 35 years old to be labeled "antique".

But what you all do not realize is, "HE SAW ONE ON BARRET-JACKSON GO FOR THAT MUCH". Drop a zero and it might be worth it.
