These sand cars are built by one of my bros and I think they are bad ass. Stroked LS2 putting out around 700 hp, 27" travel in front 24" rear. Just thought I would share

Does a potential buyer get to test drive?

I still can't imagine the price tag on these things. I'm guessing they're just racking up the cost in labor?? One of these is on the list of projects and just casually looking into building one its looking like around $20,00 to build. now I'm sure there are unforeseen costs and things will be more than thought at first. But 100,000 is a big jump from 20,000

$1,500+ in shocks per corner
$15,000 motor
$10,000 transmission
$4,000 worth of tires

The list goes on and on. SOme of my assumptions may be off but you get the picture. These are NICE cars.

I can't see being able to build a car that nice for less than $80,000 $100,000 myself. I just don't have the resources to put something that nice together.

the cost is the parts. very little is labor

my shocks alone for mine were $7k. the front and rear brakes were 4k, the aluminum work is at 5k right now, my bare chassis and suspension arms with spindles was 16k. hell i have almost 2k in heim jionts and bolts.

the transaxle for the cars pictured, a basic mendiola is 6500, and wont last very long with a heavy car and 450hp. a fortin trans starts at 13k, an albins is around 25k those are just transaxles.
