man these brakes suck, i know your supposed to use the braided lines up front for a better pedal but wtf why am i replacing the front pads every 25k mi but the shoes only 100k mi do the rear brakes do anything but an ebrake and the front do 95%? ive replaced the master, pads, rotors, shoes, drums, wheel cyl, fluid and theyve never been great.

ever change the hoses ?

i have encountered a few pluged hoses in my day. let fluid go in but not drain back . only over a long time will thay blead off the pressure back to the master. so this is like riding with the brakes on basicly.

the front eating brakes at 25k is a tad bit low in normal ranges of wear to life span.

and do you ever check to see if the rear brakes are adjusted up ? 99% of the rear drum brakes JUST DONT auto adjust these days. got to do it by hand every now and then. plus lots of dust build up will make brake performance go in the toilet.

sounds like you have checked everything else.

fyi what kind of wheel / tires are you running ? lift ? what kind of driving ?

Do you have hydroboost set up or vacuum booster?

I have a hydroboost set up for sale. It will make a big difference on your braking.

Pm me.

Regardless of all those adjustments, I've had my 95'k1500 since it was new and yes the brakes have always sucked.
Years ago ,one of the speed sensors stopped working and so did the ABS.
The truck actually stops better without the ABS that it ever has with it.
