Uncle called me today and gave me a complete 5.9L 12v cummins from a 96 truck with about 30,000 miles on it, been sitting in his shop for a few years and needs head work or maybe a new head, the truck swallowed a valve.

I have a 4 wheel drive K30 dump that might be the victim of the swap. Thinking about taking the single cab and dump off, bolt up a crew cab and making a REALLY short bed.

I'd build up a tow rig with that, 6 pack cab and short flat deck with a 5th wheel or something similar.

I actually do want to put a 5th wheel hookup on it and I also would like to get an early GM NV4500 for it. Can you say towing power.
