Be sure to use the correct block mounted engine mount it will save you time and frustration. Next I will have to figure out the downshift linkage since the motor is out of a manual rig.
I thought about swapping carbs but my other one is a 600 cfm edelbrock with manual choke and I prefer rochester q-jets I figure I'll just go to pull and save and get the linkage or another q-jet
I'm working on a 75 jimmy the engine was out of a 79 or older truck nut sure though it did have a electric oil sensor and electric water temp sensor but climatic (hot air) choke. the mount seemed to be about 3/4 inch wider than mine, if I got one whole lined up the other was like 3/4 inch too far over and when I did look at both mounts off the engine they didn't match.
no the bracket that bolt to the block were obviously different (when sat down side by side on a flat surface) and once I changed them they lined up with no problem
Yup---certain years & models had different engine mount bracketry--passenger car ,2wd ones sometimes were 1" "shorter",the distance from the block to the through bolt hole was an inch closer to the block, than some 4wd truck ones were --some were offset to one side more also as you ran into..the ones that had the "truss rods" bolted to them were "special" too..
