It's a 44" gumbo mudder.

It looks like they gave it hell trying to get it off or on the rim. Think i could run it? Any way to strengthen it? I know these tires are thick and tough as nails but it will see road use. very little though and no high speeds, 45-50 tops just for parts runs, driving to the mud spots, etc. Maybe 3 miles on the road.

The only thing I would say is depends on the fuzz in your area, they might give you trouble for running it, but for what you want, I say it's not a problem.

You might need to put a boot in it, and a tube, but as long as no highway, it should work.

it would never pass state inspection in my state. cords showing.

not the best but seen worse.

off road only ya prob be fine. but i would not run on road.

I thought it would be fine too, there is two like this. This is the worst one, I figured boot it to be safe and rock it. These tires are pretty tough.

slow speed around town ok. no highway.

can you take it to a Big Rig Tire Shop? have them patch the sidewall with some rubber, like vulcanize some more rubber on with a torch. tell em you'll sign a release.

if there's a lot of big trucks in your area, it should be pretty easy to sell as a spare tire.

I've been driving around with a tire with one of those in it's sidewall for several years now. It happened in Moab, right after I bought it. several years ago. Mines a 35" BFG A/T. Been on a few long distant road trips and even made it back to Indiana from Arizona towing a trailer. Still sitting on that tire right now too. :D

this is awesome news! didnt want to have to buy a spare when the set was free! the truck will see speeds of like 50 tops, all just around town driving. there is a couple of truck stops about 15 miles up the road and then there is a bunch down in downtown Dallas, about 30 min from here. ill check with them about adding rubber to it. ill run it first see how it does. thanks for all the replies!
