i remember in another thread someone put caddy cvs seats in their k5 and was having trouble wireing up the heat/pwr adjustment b/c it needed a box inline or something...does anyone know anything about these kind of seats? i'm thinking of going after them, its 1 hr drive 1 way..all the local salvage yards local want $3-500 for any kind of set of black leather buckets

It depends on the year of the car. The newer GM stuff uses data buss's essentially to power that stuff.

The older style just uses standard switches. They only made that car til 07....i'd guess you are in teh clear. Ask what year they came out of.

No guarantees...but my guess is a car designed around 2000, with a production run of 03-07 would not have data busses controlling that stuff, in which case, wiring them up should be fairly easy.
