The inside of my K5 is bed lined with raptor but damn it gets hot in there driving down road. Curious about carpet vs rubber mat's the sell.

I hate carpet cause it gets dirty and stained.

Problem with either is I do not have side panels in rear as mine were trashed. Also don't have trim piece for under back seat.

So can i get options etc to maybe help cool down truck.

You can get rubber matting about 1/4" thick on rolls at Home Depot or Lowes cheap, normally used to protect rugs in commercial traffic areas or on stair treads pretty cheap...its about 30" wide and whatever length you want they cut it for you...I used some of that in my bathroom, wouldn't hesitate to use it in a truck if I wanted too..either alone, or as a carpet protector..

I have the rubber floor from LMC in my crew cab. It has 2 layers of grace ice and water shield under it for sound deadening and waterproofing. Seems to stop heat well enough too. The rubber floor has been quite durable. The fitment was crap, needed a heat gun and some work to get it to lay right. LMC says exact fit, bull$#!t. My kids knocked over a 52oz fountain drink and it just washed out the door, I will never have carpet again.

I wonder if a layer of foil could be inserted under the rubber mat to help reflect some heat?

I have used that bubble wrap aluminum insulation stuff under a mat or carpet in other vehicles I had...it does help keep the floor cooler and keeps heat in better in winter...
One truck I used it on had the floor "tarred" by a previous owner,I think they used driveway sealer, and it stunk and stayed tacky in the summer,so I covered it with this stuff, then laid the rubber matting over it..it quieted it down a lot compared to a bare floor..bubble wrap insulation.jpg

I had a full size jeep with the green turf like a mini golf course. It was great. I also painted the ceiling sky blue.

I have a pickup bed rubber mat in the back. In the front I have another rubber mat that I cut up to cover the whole floor up front. Not pretty, but works. I also have a building entrance mat called "3M dirtstop" in my C10. Works great and is a lot more pliable. The 3M stuff is "softer" on the feet too. The bed mat has done wonders to quiet down and fight heat in the blazer

The bed mat covers everything and runs under the seats to the back curb

Can I get a better few on last pic K85?

Also love the 68. My wife has 67 in my garage in pieces.

I know that it may be out of your price range since you have other projects, but I just found a product from Dynamat. It's called dynadeck, it's not glued in, just lays in place. It has a wear surface on it, too.
I know that their stuff is pricey, but I have liked the results with it, and I have heard that there is a difference on the mat products. It's "made in USA" !!!

Raptor liner with a rubber floor from ACC. The front section has a nice heavy jute padding under it too. Came with the kit from ACC. I cut down a bed mat for the back. The heat last summer wasn't felt through the floor that was for sure. I thought I could run on the raptor liner alone, but I found when I was outfitting the interior the liner could get screwed up if you got to heavy with it. Larry had put a pretty big seed in my brain that the floor was going to get hot in the summer. I could see that with the raptor liner alone so I sprung for the ACC mat.
