don't want to go on a rant, but.......
the government outlawed marijuana under influence of pious zealots who never inhaled. every report generated for the gov't recommends pot being dropped from a class one drug (herion, lsd, crack) to a class two intoxicant. there is more money spent to keep pot illegal than on our school systems. why?
i believe the main reason pot stays a bad guy is because of the chemical companies. they would lose millions if hemp was legalized, so they grease the palms of the elected officials, who don't really want to go out on a limb over the devil weed, anyway. the list i posted above is accurate, and incomplete. the uses of hemp far outweigh the dangers of an adult smoking in his own home.
if all this sounds like bullshot to you, do some research.
ask your doctor which is more harmful to the human body: alcohol, cigarettes, or pot. and yet alcohol is marketed to children (budweiser frogs) as are smokes (joe camel). the gov't doesn't do anything, because the big businesses can afford to pay lobbyists to keep the gov't happy.
rj reynolds looked into a cigarette that went out after a little bit. to prevent you from lighting a fire by falling asleep. they decided that they would lose sales, because the cigarettes wouldn't burn down in the ashtray, causing you to get a new one. they then donated millions to various fire departments, so they wouldn't be sued for putting profit ahead of safety!
the injustice of it enrages me. yet they'll put me in the slam if i get caught with two plants, that God decided were of value to the planet.
also, the marijuana plant is the only plant to help the ozxone layer when it is burned. didja know that? so everytime you blaze, you're helping mother earth!
