Thinking of building a K5 daily driver

Ohh yea, do K5's have head liners in them? Idk if I've ever seen one without just a painted steel roof

I know that the newer versions did. My '90 Silverado had some sort of fiberboard that was covered in thin cloth color matched with the interior. Check LMC for what they offer.

I actually think the 465 is a fine choice. Yah its old and clunky but so is a K5. They came with factory headliners lmc makes a plastic headliner for use in trucks that did not come with a headliner.

I would use an actual sound deadner on the underside. Any spray on liner just helps because of the mass. Lizard skin is one cascade audio makes one too. I am sure there are others.

This is a good site to use for actually killing sound in a car. Not just killing rattles but actually killing sound

Finally someone else thinks the 465 will be alright lol

But I've looked into the lizard skin products and I do like what they have to offer.
I'm thinking about doing a layer of their insulation and sound deadening miss on the floors inside. With some stick on style insulation on top of that.

The main thing wanting me to get it linex'd is a buddy of mine built a power wagon like 6 or 7 years ago and uses it for a dd/ work truck/ farm truck and underneath it is spotless still. No flaking scratches or gouges and it all looks brand new except for a little dirt. And inside is pretty quite with just the carpet on the floor and some asphalt sound deadener on the doors.

It might sound over kill for sound and insulation like I want but, I don't wanna hear the road and rocks all the time and have to blast my radio to hear it and my heat and a/c to be comfortable lol

Sounds kinda picky for a square but I'm pretty sure it can be done
