I know this would probably be better suited for The Garage but I didn't wany everybody to respond. I was more interested in the response from people who show enough desire for these trucks that help support this forum.

So anyway, I am considering selling the '85 Burb I have been working on. Its' current state I will try to describe as best I can and see if you all can give me some pointers.

Engine is a your basic 454 less than 1k miles. It has been recently rebuilt and runs, pulls strong. The intake manifold is an Edelbrock and when I installed it apparently I did not seal it well and it drinks some anitfreeze, not bad but does. It also has a new Edelbrock 650 with electric choke.

Trans is a 4l80e from Bowtie Overdrive new less than 1000 miles. It is controlled by a Compushift controller and shifts well. Not much to say here, it works as you would hope it would.

Transfercase is a rebuilt NP205. The shifter linkage needs to be finished up to work with the stock shifter or a new shifter purchased.

Axles: Front is a D60 with new brakes, rotors, calipers, hubs and a new right u joint. It also has a new set of Warn Premium lockouts. Needs the pinion seal replaced. Rear is a 14bFF with disc conversion and a Mag-hytec cover. Needs to be shimmed to correct pinion angle. The front needs an alignment.

Suspension; Front Springs are from ORD and are Rough Country HDs, Rear Springs are Stock with 2 1/2" shackle flip. All bushings are poly and bolts are greasable from ORD and did the front Upper Shackle kit. Shocks are Rancho 9000s.

Also did the ORD bolt in Steering brace.

The body is pretty straight and very solid but needs paint. No rust. Interior is nice. A/C does not work. This is a K20 so is emmisions exempt in most states. It is a Silverado which is loaded including rear heat.

The tires are in need of replacing and probably the wheels. I have a set of new American Eagle MT knock offs.

If I was going to sell, should I sell or part it out?

If you took the time to read all of this and tell me what you think thank you very much.

I suggest selling it whole. Put your price on it and see how it goes. It looks and sounds like a very well built truck. If you can't get what you need to out of it then keep it.

Yeah, it's true it needs a little work to be perfect but it already has all the parts, just ask for a price that you feel comfortable with and wait.
If it's money you are hurting for then parting it will definitely get you more, ask me how I know :o

If you need quick $$, parting it will be faster. But I would keep it if possible bacause the hard stuff is all done.

You never said why you are selling it?
I was selling my stuff because I lost my job and I still held on to the burb :o
If you can keep it it's better and if you want to sell hold out for a good price, it's worth it.

Boredom, other interests. It is a bad habit I have. See if I can do something, once I realize I can, move onto another project.

I bought a Trailblazer SS that I want to put a supercharger on and the money from here would do it. I know I would kick the $h|t out of myself one day but....

DO NOT SELL or PART IT! You can find some other way to fund the Trail Blazer project. But if you do part it..... I call dibs on the tranny controller.

Well, I decided to keep it or at least finish it. Ordered the spring perches and shock tabs to get the pinion angle corrected. Will have new tires Monday, going with a BFG AT TA in a 285/75r/16 E.

Thanks for the input guys.
