this a good winch

was on my uncles old truck. was on for about 6 years then he a got a plow. said i could have it. he never used it once.

anything i should check before i put power to it? thanks

yes that is a good winch see if there any grease fittings on it mount it and see if it will free wheel and go from there

It looks like an older 8274. I had one, GREAT winch, if that is what it is. FAST line speed. I don't know about prep work. If the electrical connections are good, I would run it!

Change the gear oil with 30W 40W (I forget which one), its going to be really nasty.

I guess my biggest complaint is the size of those suckers. Other than that, it has been a good winch. Try it out and go from there. Good luck

that is the winch i am after!

70+ ft per minute unloaded line speed, which is insanely fast, 150ft of cable. my truck will be getting one of those eventually
