blue rtv on tranny top cover. way to much to seal it up. all you see is about how much is on the inside also.

or did you get the tranny like that?

i saw a new motor with no oil press one time. found pluged pick up tube full of blue death.

do you like the thandle or what i am thinking of switching mine over to it.?

Have to agree, WAY too much silicone used to seal up the tranny top cover. That's on the inside too, and I guarantee that a big hunk of that will break off on the inside and find it's way into some oil passage and bye-bye lubrication for whatever critical component that passage supplies oil to.

Yep, ol' 465 wouldn't care one bit. Mulch that silicone up without a second thought :) 465 oils itself by running the gears through a puddle of oil at the bottom, or if you've got fancy oil, by the oil climbing up the sides of the gears as they turn.

Love the hoisting set up:laugh: I'm gona need a cluch some day, and when I do............
And as far as I know U can drop a pipe bomb in the ol 465 and it will just chew up the shratnell for ya:D So I don't think it would even notice a little RVT:rolleyes:
