Thanks everyone... Burt.. I really look forward to building this truck up to be Bad ass..
Unfortunately I can't keep all Three Blazers.. so the ground up Resto "stampy" is up for sale.
My ultimate goal it to have at least one Blazer for each generation... I have a lead on a 1989 Silverado K5.. a friend of mine.. he's selling it.. so I'm trying to sell my Silverado also..
I have Blazer-itis... can't help it..
My 1983 White blazer came along alot quicker than I expected.. she's nearly perfect..
But.. omg..I can't wait to get this 72 Blazer..
So... we're going topless for the summer..

I think it cost 900$ and came with 3 small block chevys.(not in the truck)

Paying $950.00 , getting 3 engines.. two 350's and one 305 out of an 86 truck.
I'll learn more about the truck once she's home... Can't wait to clean it up and put the engine in.. drive it around.
I'm probably going to lower it back to stock height and keep it stock. Any suggestions?
How hard are parts to come by for the older first generations?

Thanks Burt, I am sure we will need a few things to get her running again.. then all painted up pretty and then I'm driving her. On the weekends if I'm lucky. It's gonna be a tough fight between the two of us who gets the drive. I say first one who leaves in the morning gets dibs.

I love it, that thing is absolutely gorgeous!

I just could not own one. I like that body style by far the best of all Blazers and I would wind up trying to fix it up nice. Then I would drive myself nuts trying to keep from messing it up.

Also, the last time I owned a Blazer I looked at the expense of all the necessary upgrades to do what I want to do with it. As a result, I never got around to doing it and kept my fingers crossed that the TH350, frame, and D44/12 would hold up while taking it (relatively) easy. The frame eventually gave up the ghost first. This time I decided that it would be cheaper to start with a K30 and put a Blazer (or similar) on it. Looks allot like what "white knight" is up to.

So, I'll just fool around with my beaters... <sigh> Have fun, I'll live vicariously through you as you post on the progress.

Coming soon: 4" lift, 40" tires, massive cutting, shorter wb and rear overhang.

I am sure there will be many posts as to the restoration and eventually the upgrades..Once we start a project, usulaly it gets finished fairly quickly. Too bad we just don't have time to finish "stampy" but we sure did learn alot from her.
