I have the white thing, but want the blue thing. Love that Flatbed! Can I find an old beater truck, pull my K5 body, and plop the cab right on?

Not exactly a plop right on thing but plenty of people here have done it. Search for "trazer"

I helped a friend do this once, the tank filler will need to be addressed, the rear crossmember for the rear cab supports will need to be fabbed, and of course the flatbed fabbed. Id recommend pulling a same generation cab for the ease of installing the front clip on the truck cab and the blazer frame.

A trade would sure help my pocketbook. The body on this K5 is perfect. I guess I could just whack the back off ehh?!

I too say dont butcher it. That is way too clean to tear up. Sell it and get a pickup and flatbed it.

i can vouch for the flatbed. its not a blazer frame/trazer.

if you try and use a blazer frame to build it and have it look like my truck the flat bed will be 1/2 that length.

and incase you want the specs are in my sig.

Build a tubed out flatbed and cut your k5 cab behind the "bed" area. Sorta like the trail-gear 4runner before they back halved it. It was a 4runner cab with the back of the cab open to a really well designed tube flatbed.
