I purchased a 1989 K5 with the following mods when I bought it.I am currently deployed again and wish to get some solid advice on what path to take when I return home.

K5 currnetly has:
6 inch lift (blocks in the rear I know they suck I am doing the axle flip mod)
Fenders trimmed nicely
39 inch TSL's 2 bad ones and 2 60% tread
350 TBI
205 transfer
700R4
Dana 44 front Stock 3.41
14 Bolt Rear 3.41

Extra I have
4X44 inch TSL's 75% tread on rims
203 transfer ( going to do a twin stick)

What I planned on doing was maybe getting a M1008 and swapping the axles between them and put the D60 under the K5 and D44 under the CUCV. I do not pan on wheeling the CUCV just use it to tow the K5 around. I will not do much rock crawling just light trails and mud when the opportunity presents itself and it always does with the K5. Will the 4.56 gears be ok for the 44's with very limited road time? Or should I just by two new 39's and sell the 44's? I will also be doing cross over steering and Hydro assist. I have read alot about using 44's and relize eveyone is running 5.13 or deeper. I just don't want to go that route if I know I will not be crawling and already need a dana 60. All I need is some real world and real budget advice. Thanks
