this is why my 32 spline rear shafts wont sell.

For $800 he can keep em...you can buy a doubler kit for that money, and have enough left over for beer, pizza, and a 'working girl' to hand you wrenches...

Competition puller truck guys are running these. I have one guy that buys all the 400/205 adapters and rear outputs I find for the puller crowd, they break alot of them.

Wow. Thats a lot of coin. I also recognize the seller and he's a reputable seller on eBay. His prices on everything he sells is comparable to the market.

It's a 37 spline output, stock 205 is 32 spline. Its a custom (and pretty complex) piece, they're not going to sell a whole lot of them, hence the price is pretty steep.

If you start breaking 32 spline outputs what else are you going to do? I can see a market for it, and I'm sure they've found it.

I guess my point was it's similar in complexity to the doubler shaft, it's the same material, and has about the same sized market..yet is about triple the price?

Free enterprise for sure, and I wish them the best...you can bet at that pricing level they are sure to have some competition very soon.

Where exactly are these guys breaking these shafts? As mention previously, I see the oil feed slot to the weak link to the factory shafts. I can't image anything that require to be up graded to 37 spines.

I believe Advance Adapters sells a 300M shaft for the NP205 which I plan to use if I ever break an output shaft.

It's all supply and demand.

If both the doubler and this 37 spline output require the same engineering time but the doubler sells 10:1 of these, you have to charge a lot more for the 37 spline output.

If nobody bought them and there was no demand for them, they probably wouldn't be for sale ;)
