I found on www.roadranger.com that the SPL250 has a maximum angularity of (coincidentally enough) 25deg. This is mostly due to the immense yokes needed to handle the torque loads they see. Consider:
A Fuller RTLO16908LL is rated for 1650ft/lbs input TQ. It's an 8-speed tranny with two deep-reduction low gears (so there's actually 10 forward gears) that's pretty popular for dump trucks, cement trucks, and other trucks that move really heavy loads in crappy conditions. In double-low, the gear ratio is around 22:1. That's a LOT of TQ to deal with at the driveshafts... And no one puts one of these behind a weak motor; they're usually hung behind a 1500+ ft/lbs motor, in trucks that sometimes gross 100K or more.
For the rest of you who requested, your pics will be on the way momentarily.
OK,OK, OK... Jeez, can't a guy enroll in school to better himself and look for some financial aid without gettin' harrassed by the hordes?!
Seriously, I've got 9 or 10 PM's and a few posted addresses in this thread to send to, which I'll be doing in the next few minutes. If you posted or PM'd and don't get yours in this wave, let me know and I'll send it to ya.
