Don't remember what it is called but it has to do with the speedo and converting a mechanical signal to an electrical one....

Or maybe the other way around. Serves some function for the VSS input to the ECM I think

VSS= Vehicle speed sensor.

What year? If it's a truck with computer, a good idea to fix it.

Otherwise, if it's '83-ish and up, it's for the cruise control only.

They aren't complex, and are easy to come by, so easy and cheap to replace.

Lockup was vacuum controlled until 1987, then the ECM took control.

I've got seven K-5/K-10's in my yard/driveway.....and I bought the wife a Hun-day fer her Birthday!!! She drove K-5's and K-10's for five years after she got her USA drivers license...........more than some of the guys here I bet!!!

............and it's great fer parts running fer my truck stuff!!!
