What length bolts did ya use. I used a couple to get the ring centered and started but when swapping them back out for shorter ones I thought I had the right length but they bottomed out on the lip of the rim.

1.5" should be plenty long. Sometimes you can get away with 1.25" but make sure you get all the way in to the loc of the nut. I used 1.25" but probably will be switching to 1.5". You got to go around torqueing many times.

cool. I'll get 130 of those and some assorted ones .5 and 1 and 1.5" longer to get them all started.

Thanks Kert. I'll get a pic of all 4 fully mounted and on the Willy's for ya /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

What bolts are bottoming out on you? I was going to head to the store this week and pick up a bag of 'em.

I don't remember I had a coffee can full of them from my 1st job I had and I was using them, they were 2" i think but weren't graded, i was just getting antsy to see em mounted,LOL I'm also gonna run washers on the heads since i don't want to scuff my pretty orange paint job /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

I have my D&B supply list going.
beadlocks bolts
shock bolts
limiting strap bolts
Do they have the tapered bolts like the Willy's had in the hinges?

Mcmaster Carr eh! That's the cheapest deal I've seen yet. Fastenal was 31 bucks for 128 of em.

What you get gold plated, I got mine 150 for 22$ something from them, 1.5" ones. Then I got the nylock nuts from one of the places I work at for free.

This is exactly why I don't include bolts in the kits. I just can't seem to get any deals on bolts. Must say sucker on my forehead!

It's been our experience that Fastenal is not exactly the cheapest for bolts and the like.

Just FYI, you're not the only one.

They have a web site. www.mcmaster.com
But check shipping..shipping from Chicago may kill the deal.

I got my 3/8 hardened steel washers from my place of employment..
since I work in a washer factory. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

If you buy bolts buy the 1000's at a hardware supply store, you would be shocked /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif at how cheap they become on a per bolt basis
