its called the Rubicon (big trail up in the sierras, search should yeild plenty of results)

Me too, too bad by the time we get there it will have all been blown to bits by the Forest Service with dynamite.

Umm, how often do you use low gear as opposed to 2nd or high? (and yeah, I know you're switching to a '465 )

All it does is give you more low gears ... generally I s'pose one would want that for rock crawling, or any tight technical, low-speed sort of terrain. Not for use in sand or crazy mud or when you want lots of wheelspin.

Me, I did it (1) 'cuz I prefer rocks to mud, less washing, and (2) I had the tranny and t-case out and I wasn't gonna do it twice
