Thoughts/advices on new drivetrain

Hi everyone,
Although I have a perfectly good 350ci / TFH 350 drivetrain, I am craving of upgrading to a more HP engine and a 4 spd tranny lije 700R4, which i have researched for a while. Thoughts?

I have also looked into LS / 4l60, 80 etc.. but they seem to be too much work, instead of droppin 350.

I am leaning toward this:

As long as it looks like a normal 350 or is 75 and older.
Heard there is talk of raising the age, or a new category for historic cars.
Kommiefornia is looking to OBD 3, where the car will inform if an emissions issue goes unrepaired. The test facilities will not have enough business to remain open.

Yes 383 is a good option. 700r4 if it is built right, tv cable adjustment correct and kept cool is an option as well. Transfer case choice matters when changing form a th350

You can, there's a process.
There is a bill, that passed the committee and now head to the house to make vehicles 35 years old exempted.
Should make all squares exempted by the time it passes.

I still have a hard time believing that Ca has exemptions like that whereas we have to emission anything 67+

Y’all come on down to the southeastern portion of the good ole USA and stay a spell with your old and modified trucks cause we ain’t got no emissions test of any kind down here…
