I just got an 82 3/4 p/u with the 6.2 and a TH400 backed by a 205tcase. I go muddin and through the mountians and sometimes to the desert but i want to fix things before they brake. Im getting a 6 inch lift, 38"tires, ORD power steering brace and rear disc conversion kit. I want to get heavy duty bumpers with a hidden winch I wnat to re gear it and get manual hubs front and rear. Tube doors and slap on some primer and it should be ready to go. Does anyone else have any ideas. (eventually weld a custom rollcage and get a 454 or cummins)

I would think locking hubs would not be strong enough to withstand the constant pounding of the rear end. 1.5", 35 spline hubs for a D6 are already notorious for breaking so a drive flange would probably be best.

Like Sled Dog though, I would think the cost would outweigh the benefits.
