Thoughts on a Rough Country Lift

those r/c kits should ride better than there leaf spring lifts for our trucks.

if your truck is a crew cab 1500 is it a real 1500 6 lug ? make sure its not a 1500hd 8 lug truck . totally different parts.

that kit looks straight forward and simple.

just need an alignment when done with install.

also metric allen wrenches for the ball joints to keep from spinning .

the rear blocks will give it back the stock rake more than likely . compared to most lifts/level kits I have installed being tad high in rear like stock.

Mine is the 6 lug, not the 1500hd.

I was thinking that kit with maybe a 1" coil spacer would make it look just about right.

coil spacer harder to install as compressing spring more and = stiffer ride.

seen a guy do a 1.25 " and looked good but real hard to install with basic tools.

they do work and are effective .

Ive got a 2" Rough Country lift and some Bilstein 5150 shocks and its a great combo, esp for DD. off roading its a bit soft IMO, for anything major. I stuff the rear wheels pretty easily.

The Rough Country Shocks are junk IMO, the bilsteins hold up much better.
