I think I am going to raptor line the removeable top. I also plan on using it for the floor pan inside the truck once some minor patch work is completed. Since I live in the northeast, I think it will offer some added protection. I'm going with a simple poly vinyl flooring with sound deading and heat shield as well, however I won't glue them down, so I will be able to remove for any cleaning if needed.

Has anyone used the truck liner on either their top or inside floor? If so, thoughts about it and its effectiveness. I'm pretty dead set on doing it, but curious of other experiences with it.

Inside the truck it will be fine. Outside on the top it will look great right after you spray it and then it will look worse and worse every year afterwards. It's going to get dull and chalk out over time.
Go look inside the bed of a 10 year old bed lined pickup truck and decide if you want your roof to look like that.

Make sure you have zero pinholes or rust under the bedliner on your floor. It will continue to rust under the liner if it isn't 100% good metal.

I took that into consideration and have no issue with respraying it in another 5 years, or sooner depending.

Yea, I have some fiberglass/resin to put down first over some pinholes I saw recommendations of using a rust reformer after grinding/sanding rusty spot and prior to applying the raptor liner. I won't half-ass the prep as I have no intention of doing it again.

Raptor lined the top today, very happy with the outcome. Taking your two cents into consideration, I will just repaint the top when it gets to that dull look. I found the texture hides many of the tops imperfections it acquired over the years. I fiber glassed some of the bad gouges prior to coating. It took 2 quarts to do it right. Lost a quart of the liner due to a bad hose coupler, that stuff hardens pretty quick, which means I will need another 1 maybe 2 for the interior floorboard.
