I recently replaced the u-joints on my '88 K5 rear driveshaft. Due to either a faulty u-joint or a bad install job on my part, the drive shaft left go and hammered the NP208 (cracked case, etc.). I plan to replace the case this weekend and have the drive shaft inspected, repaired, etc., but I'm curious as to your opinion on replacing the rear pinion yoke as well.

Thanks,
Joe

It's not hard to replace. But I'd definitely look it over first for damage before replacing.

Does the yoke have stops built in side to side? If not you need to install the half circle rings on the yoke u joint caps as well to keep them from spitting out. Also new straps are always a plus too.
