If you had this style of grille/lights on 89-91 Blazer, would you consider converting to the Silverado quad lights or keep it the way it is? I realize converting requires core support, buckets, lights, etc.

I am a fan of those 5x7 headlights. I did convert to the earlier stacked quad lights on my 91 though.

I was on the fence on converting over. Just purchased one with single lights. I'll probably keep it the way it is. I think they are more rare to find these days but it was a less optioned Blazer.

My 1989 Suburban is a Scotsdale and has singles. My other trucks are 1990 and 1991 x2. I like the quad lights better but not enough to change the Scotsdale. Most of the govt. order and fleet order trucks seemed to be Scotsdale package with the single lights.

I think the earlier front ends looked bad with the 5x7's, but I think those later front ends look pretty nice with them.

I wouldn't convert. I've got quads on my truck, but the earlier ones.

Personally I would not change anything if it works.
I have every iteration there was and they are all stock and I like them all.

I had the single light on my 91 crew cab, I would not change them except to LED conversions for brighter lights overall.

Another vote for keeping the 5”x7” single lights.
I’ve even converted my 83 square to the 89~91 single light front end.

I also really like the early 80's stacked 4 headlight setups. That is the one option I've considered switching to on my crew cab, but then you gotta by 4 LED headlights instead of just the 2 I have now.

In the GMT400 trucks, I definitely like the 4 headlight setup much better.

I converted mine from the quad ‘91 setup to the singles for a ‘91. Sole reason was lack of options for brighter headlights. I could have taped four mag lights to the hood and had better light output than the stock quad setup.

Sure relays on stock wiring made it better but, the only option for housings with replaceable bulbs (halogen or converting to led) were from LMC and they are asking a mint for them. Last I checked it was $150+ per pair of housings. So three hundo for housings and you still need to get bulbs.

Junkyard core support, crash relplacement grille and bezels from Sherman were still cheaper than I would have spent with LMC. Plus the 5x7 light assemblies take a H4 bulb that is easy to find via Amazon, Racesport, ARC lighting or other places.

Light output is quadruple over the stock setup. I’m not joking. I would never switch to a quad setup. IMG_4043.jpeg

I really dig the Scottsdale grill from those years, I would definitely keep it. Plus a lower optioned rig is right up my alley.

I switched my '87 V10 from a single headlight, to an '89-'91 quad head light setup, and the lighting was 4x better. I was using only stock parts though.
