Hi All,

My 72 Jimmy has a missing thread in the windshield header that is used to secure the hardtop.

I will be running a soft top so I am not that worried about it but I may want to use my hardtop one day so figured I should try to fix it.

Can anyone tell me if it is repairable and how I should go about doing it?

Thanks

If you are talking about the 3 bolts on the corners of the weatherstrip, it only has 2 and the 3rd is a clip in .

Nope I am talking about the thread that the Two Hard Top Brackets bolt to. They are on either side of the Rear view Mirror. All the threads are there except one is missing. I assume it broke out or was pushed in and is rattling around in the header. I imagine I will have to cut a hole and patch it with a nut welded to a piece of steel?
