Three Leaf Fab's Rubicon Adventure

great pics!! what are the suspension/lift details of that k5? on 42's right?
Yep, the K5 is on 42's. I think it's around 8" of lift, with a homemade double shackle setup in the rear, and a full length driveline skid/antipwrap device that allows him to drag right over anything.

Great pictures!! I love that trail. Looks like the trip was a huge success for you guys. That full bodied K5 thru the sluice is impressive to say the least.

Thanks for sharing.

dont forget the 52's in the front. iirc, he's using 2" lift EZ's (52's) in the front, with a zero rate on that with some sort of homebrew crossmember that lowers the front of the spring, and 4" lift EZ's (56's) in the rear with the homebrew double shackle flip and about a 3-4" block. somehow all that lift equals about 8-9" of lift.

Great pics. It brings back a lot of good memories. You know, broken parts, rollovers, ect....Looks like a fun time, was had by all.

looks awesome, wish I could wheel there.

I'll be the first to say it though. the guy standing up in the back of the sami is asking to get hurt. someone should have said something and there should not be pics of it happenining and they should definitely not be posted on the internet.:shame:

That is me, and I appreciate your concern, but it is not necessary. I can assure you, that I've wheeled enough to know which situations could get me into trouble doing that, and it's pretty easy to see a bad spot coming going 0.367 mph. I wouldn't ride on the back in a situation where it would be dangerous. If you're used to mud and trails, you might not be used to the slowness of these rigs. They are literally just crawling, all with ratios in the 135:1 area.

Yeah, but it's still just plain stupid to do.

dont ride in the back. if your moving, be seat belted in. Yea you may think your safe but most of the people that die in a roll over or get launched from a truck generaly think they are safe.

Alright guys, I know we've got some different opinions about this, but that isn't what this thread is about. I'm an adult, and my life and safety are my responsibility and no one else's. I can decide for myself what risks I'm willing to take. This is very low risk, to say the least, especially compared to some of the other sports/hobbies I do. Lets try not to ruin a perfectly good trip report.
