Three Parts Yards Today...Nothing Spectacular..but Photos

That’s a lot more than I can find around me.

Did you look for a driver side front fender with the correct washer bottle mount, 73-75 ?
i think about it, but changing my fender and getting it painted would be a large task right now

If you don't mind sharing your places, I am looking for a tailgate for my suburban and spied a couple in there.

There are one a couple squares In the yard in mobile, it's sad

Must be nice! I don’t have sh*t where I’m at. If you do find one, it’s rusted out or has already been picked over.

Yes your already Deep.
The only thing body wise that’s aftermarket on mine are the front fenders. Don’t like them.

However, for three parts yards, that's an awefull small amount of squares

I haven't seen a concentration of squares like that in quite a long time. I can count on 2 fingers the number of junkyard squarebodies within 50 miles of my location. Actually...I think the yard 50 miles away doesn't have any squares either. They've all moved on to newer rigs by now. So it might be down to just the two rustbuckets.

They are all gutted...I didn't find anything from the trucks. They are largely the same trucks that have been there for last few years...I keep going back once or twice a year hoping there is a new one to explore...and thankful that the old ones arent gone...if there werent squares, i'd have no reason to go...and I really do enjoy walking the parts yard...maybe one day I will make it out west and walk through the field of dreams...

Nice pics
Turn over around here is maybe 3 weeks to a month. Ya don’t see the same stuff for long. Ships to China quick.

The 6 banger made me think of Dads first truck. 77 Custom Deluxe. Armstrong steering, 2wd air conditioning, and manual brakes! What a beast. mom got word Dad was cheating on her, she called his work and they said he went to West Virginia. She rented a car (Camaro) from Sears, threw us boys in (me & my 2 Brothers) and boogied all the way there. I had to navigate (at 14) because she wasn't sure how to get there. She pulled up as he was on the porch shaving for the evening ...festivities. Then it was on, our uncle took us while they worked it out.

What has this got to do with trucks? They worked through it and Dad wound up trading the truck in on a Camaro as a make up gift for Mom. Of course she wound up hating it because of the circumstances...so she let him get another truck. 78 Scottsdale with auto, a/c AND power steering! Happy endings all around! lol
