I know a few of you have puched your big blocks forward a few to accomodate things, what have you done about your throttle cable?

I haven't moved my motor, yet. But I did have my OE throttle cable break on me so I had to replace it. Actually, it snagged on the sheath inside at about 3/4 throttle while "trying" to stop at a red light. That was fun!! :D

Anyways, what I did to replace it was go to the local roundy-round shop & got a solid throttle linkage that was too long & then threaded it further down the bar so that I could get it to work. Now it'll work for when I move the motor, convert to tbi or tpi, or whatever I want to do.

Here's a how-to.

BTW - it's bulletproof & there is no slop whatsoever. :wink1:

I moved my BBC an inch forward vs stock and it has a taller intake, etc on it. I used the throttle assembly and cable from an 80 something truck. Bolted right in.
