I guess the old Q-Jet was a bit wider than my Barry Grant Speed Demon carb. I plan on going with a Holley Truck Avenger but this is whats on my 383. I tried using the stock bracket for the throttle cable but its not working with the RPM AirGap maniflod and BG carb. The cable is about an inch off to the side of the carb and now its almost like the cable is too long? Any ideas? Shouldnt the carb mounting spot be the same on a Edelbrock Air Gap and stock? I know its a little taller.
