Can someone recommend a throttle cable? The original and the lmc truck ones are to long. The one inch transfer case drop makes the cable bind. Need one shorter, about 4".

Thanks

How about a picture of your setup? I can't imagine a 1" TC drop would mess things up way up there. :)

Yes post up a picture of your bracket set up, the biggest difference in throttle cable length was from oil burner to gas. I had to get a new one for mine when i did my swap.

Cable drags inside. Had to add a spring to get it to return. Manuel shift no tv cable. Carb is new and works good. I found motorcycle cables you can make to length by soldering the ends on. This is the old cable new one is installed. You can see the loop. When I get some sun light ill get more pics. I guess they put a loop in it just in case you break a motor mount. Also looking for pto cable so I can idle up when I'm on the trails.

check out Lokar cables. They are stainless sheathes with Teflon tube inside and a stainless cable. You can cut them to length.

I used one off a early 80's chevy van when I needed a shorter one for an engine swap...

I'm still confused as to how a 1" TC drop could cause this problem...

Not sure either. But im thinking it all really has some what of a loop to it and the 1" drop just adds a little more, just enough to make the cable rub inside the liner. The 1" drop moves the top of motor back. I found a new cable by spectre that is cut to length and seen them on amazon for 15.00 going to stop at couple auto stores to see what they have in stock. The sticky pedal is driving me nuts

Spectre is junk. I think I recall using a cable like that, and it eventually broke. YMMV

x2 .

I have installed lots of cold air kits with no problems .

just installed a spectre kit a customer supplied . he has had nothing but problems with codes and running like crap .
