Throttle hesitating?

I fired up the K5 today and ran it for a while since the battery had to be charged. I noticed when I hit the gas it hesitated for a second then revved up like normal.

Can it be as simple as adjusting the carb (Q Jet)?

It was cold , and hadn't been driven in awhile . Spray some cleaner on the linkage once in awhile

Ya, I'll throw some carb cleaner in there this weekend

I guess I am just getting a bit excited/paranoid about the big trip

With the engine off and the air cleaner removed, look down the carb as you snap the linkage and you should see a streem of gas in both primary ventiries every time you snap the throtle. If not your accel pump is bad,
