Hey All,
Been busy as hell recently. Burb has turned into full time tow-rig for new 2008 Malibu Response LXI. We have to tow to ski tournaments, so figured it would be nice to give the burb a purpose.

When i bought it, i had a good ticking at idle and under load. Thought it was exhaust dougnut. Fixed that, still had ticking. Was told it needed manifold gaskets, installed them, still ticks. Exhaust guy said it isn't exhaust.

Runs great in general, no idea the mileage on the motor, but it looks like a recent GM crate. Checked timing, everything ok. Stumbles more than my 94 when i disconnect the timing advance wire, but maybe thats normal.

Would the TBI gasket cause this? What else?

91 2500 burb, 350tbi/4l80e.

Any recommendations? I think im towing 700+ miles this weekend, and would like to get this resolved.

Also, anyone who did the light relay mod having bulb life problems? I turn my lights on all the time, and my bulbs lasted about 2 months after the light mod.

Thanks guys!

TBI gasket is a good place to start, especially if it hasn't been changed for a while. They are known to deteriorate and cause troubles. Secondly, it wouldn't hurt to have someone run some professional grade injector cleaner through the rig to clean the injectors. Those do get clogged with crap over time.
