Does anyone have a book or know of a web site that shows dimensions of tie rod ends and drag link ends?

I have a dropped drag link and the end at the pitman arm is bad.

It has an overall length of 4 3/4".
The length from the threaded end to the grease fitting is 3 3/4".
The thread where it screws into the drag link is 7/8-18 right hand thread.
The taper major (large) diameter is .791".
The taper minor (small) diameter is .772".
The length of the taper is .690".
The stud length from the ball to the end of the 5/8-18 thread is 2.125".
The 5/8-18 thread is .875" long.
From the end of the 5/8-18 thread to the large end of the taper is 1.562".
The pitman arm is stock 1986 K10.

I have searched the parts stores and the web and I can't find one.

If you click the pic you should be able to see the dimensions. I hope.

Thanks,
Mike

Do they have dimensions on LMC or is it just stock applications?
I just looked on LMC and didn't see any dimensions. This isn't a stock drag link end for this truck so I don't know where to look on LMC.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

THey wont have dimensions, jus the parts. IF you dont know what truck your part came from thatll be toughy. WOuld have to look at RACE shops that make custom links and ends. Try summit racing, they possibly could give dimensions. Or do a yahoo search under CUSTOM END LINKS or CUSTOM TIE ROD LINKS/ENDS>

can't use a tie rod end on a drag link. They have different size tapers. You will have to get a replacement from who ever made the drop tie rod. None of the tie rod ends from a parts store are short enough to work. This has been covered in the past 2 weeks on this forum.

I saw that thread.

I am hoping someone that works at one of the parts stores will look through their Moog, TRW, or other manufacturers book and find me one.

I don't think Superlift and Skyjacker make the ends for their links. I think they buy them from a major manufacturer of drag link ends. It may not be a part for a GM vehicle.

I may be wrong though.

Thanks,
Mike

I don't have the dimensions of the end but I have the numbers that everyone is using.
ES2011R
ES2233L

ES2010L there is also a right hand ES2010R($64)
ES2234R

Steering links
ES2026R
ES2027L

If you go to autozone.com you can see what they look like and go to the store and measure them.
That about all the help I can give you right now.

ES2026R is too long.
ES2234R has too small and too short of a taper, I have it in front of me now.
ES2011R appears to have too short of a taper but I will check it out.
ES2010R may work, I'll have to go measure it.

I think all of the part #'s with L behind them are left hand thread and go on the left side of the vehicle.

I am still hoping for one of the parts counter guys to help with this. I will post what I find out.

Thanks,
Mike

None of those ^^^^^ numbers work. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

IIRC There is a place called partssteve.com that has the info you are looking for. Mabey partsmike.com. Yeah, I think its partsmike.com

Yesterday I spent about 2 hours at Carquest looking through their Moog book and didn't find anything. They gave me Moog's phone#.

Today I called Moog and they said they can't help me without an application.

So then I called Parts Mike he said "they've got you over a barrel".

So I called Pro Comp the end I need is part# GDL410 their price is $73.54.:eek1:
Summit.com part# is EXP-GDL410 their price is $55.95. 2 weeks before it ships.

My Drag link arm is Pro Comp part# GDL40.

I hope this helps somebody else.

Do you have sizes on the es453r? The es150r will not work.
Thanks,
Mike

There are only 2 in that list with the correct taper ES2026R and ES2027L.
Those are the stock application for the truck.
The ES2026R is too long.
If they made a ES2027R that may work, but I don't think they do.

Thanks for all of your help,
Mike
