I want to replace my drag link and tie rod ends as mine are warn out.
I can get all the parts from LMC, but my dad said not to use them and recommended looking for more quality parts.
Any recommendations?

Since I will be under the truck, I might as well swap out my leaf springs as well.. I don't want more than a 2" lift as I am trying to keep the truck as stock as possible.
Any help or recommendations with a one stop shop would be great.
I want the truck to drive like it was brand new...
truck has 120K OG miles and never been off road..

x2 on moog.

and if small lift kit go off the shelf tuff country NOT ROUGH COUNTRY !

and soft ride for a smooth as stock ride

I've got a Rough Country 4" lift on my suburban and, IMO, it's not too bad. It doesn't ride like a limo, but it's not bone-jarring either. The fact that I have a suburban and it weighs as much as a baby battleship may have something to do with it, but for the price, I'm pretty happy so far.

I just replaced my drag links and tie rod ends. I went with moog. I'm going to go have it aligned in a few hours!

I don't have them off the top of my head but if you go to the parts store and they say they don't have anything for a drag link that is understandable. Since you are doing tie rod ends and drag links tell them you want all four options of the tie rods. Two of the tie rod options will actually be for the draglink.

I believe they call them the left and right tie rods (knuckle to knuckle) and front and rear tie rods (box to knuckle.)

These are the tie rod end numbers. From knuckle to knuckle.

best check your steering parts first . over the years few different style tie rod ( knuckle to knuckle ) systems have been used . sold long bar and 1 short . 2 short and middle reusable bar .

Yeah my truck is a 90 and the steering link knuckle to knuckle is the long bar with a replaceable tie rod on one end and not the other.

Where in the hell do I get that long side?

It's going to be never ending on this truck and that is not good. It's supposed to be a beater.

RAYBESTOS Part # 4101010B. $35 at Rock Auto. Really, any parts store should be able to order it, but I haven't checked. Just tell them it's for an 89 Suburban or something. It might not be in stock due to it's size.

You also have the option of swapping on the earlier 3-piece tie rod, which allows both TREs to be replaced. That would be a junkyard find or you can have one built by someone like ORD.
