I was looking at a few places today for tre's, the only problem is that every place I look at for 91' tre's shows both tre's unscrewing from the tie rod:confused: , my driver side tre does not unscrew, does this make any sense? do I have to replace the whole rod or does that one come out? does this mean that some one could've replaced it with a tie rod from an earlier year? Thanks guys!

IIRC, 10 bolts had tie rods where each end unscrews, and D44's had the ones like you do. Maybe someone swapped it. Try looking for parts for a '77 and see what you come up with.

I've seen them both ways. For what it's worth, my original stock D60 tie rod was a long end on one side, then an adjuster sleeve with a short end screwing into the adjuster.

Yea it sounds like somebody swapped it out. No biggie. If you want the break down and year splits LMC catalog has a nice illustrated pic of the dif types etc.

Tough call in my opinion. One advantage to swapping out to the end style is to have an aftermarket heavy duty tie-rod.

Well both styles work, I guess it doesn't really matter. I'd prefer the style with two short ends though. But you can just fix what you got and leave it if you want to.
