yesterday i ordered chevy tierod set up from ORD, they charged my card twice ,the second time it was charged it would only allow the balance left on the card wich was not enough to cover the purchase , my account says they charged the full amount ,they say they have no record of that transaction, long story short those funds are on hold from my bank ,i have no parts coming, and ORD says give us another card and we can ship you those parts ,the last two dealings with them have gone awry,:dunno:,i guess i got screwed out of my $231.50 thanks ORD for another unpleasent experience:frown1::mad:

Your credit card company should be able to give you a transaction number that you can give to ORD to show the different charges.

I'm not sure this is the place to discuss your credit card issues so to keep it general:
Yesterday we entered the full amount in our machine and it came back that it gave us a lesser amount which sometimes happens on pre-paid cards. Not wanting this to get messy with a partial payment we voided the transaction. At this point we call the customer with the problem and are told it's fine, try again. Today we do the same thing with the same results and again void the entire transaction to avoid a partial payment situation. According to our merchant service rep, those charges were really voided and we have none of your money. They may be showing as pending depending on your bank's procedures but the money is not here in any amount.

I'm sorry for the confusion and hassle but we don't have any control over the card balance or processing procedures of your bank past the steps we have tried already. We're more than happy to work through whatever else we can to help out.

I do resent the implication that we have somehow taken any amount of money on this or any transaction without shipping your parts. This is essentially saying we stole your money and that is absolutely NOT what has happened. I have a feeling your post's language is a little strong since you're justifiably very frustrated (credit cards are about as frustrating a thing as there can be) but as a business (and my and many other people's lives and careers) this needs to be clear. We go far out of our way to not take in a customer's money till the parts are on the way to you. There is a lot of nervousness and fear about dealing with remote companies either online or by phone and while we are not perfect in many ways, I can say that we are perfect in one very important way and that is making sure you get the parts you paid for.

I hope we can continue to work this out.

relax Azusa
figure out what the bank is doing, then order again. Or pay Randy's Offroad to order it for you and you'll get it that way. Sounds like a nice rig, you cruise the canyon, Gorman, littlerock?

I just got my tierod parts from ORD. The guys, again, were super helpful and shipped promptly :waytogo:. The items arrived with great packaging and are being assembled as soon as the paint dries. I have ordered from them a few times now and it has always been a pleasure.

Another plus, they have always been willing to talk about other modifications and ideas, even if they aren't necessarily selling the parts for it. They just seem to want guys to build their rigs right, and not have any issues down the road. They have been willing to share their experience...what worked, what didn't etc.

Thanks guys,

yep, had to ask Chris the other day what my total $$ is with them. ~$2650, could have bought a 4 link instead of all those other necessary items :doah:

I have bought a lot of parts from ORD and can confirm their buieness is very professional and honest. For whatever reason there is a mess up, ORD WILL make it right if it was their fault.

Personally, I believe it is a bank issue. My bank will show a transaction pending for 3 days before it goes threw and if voided... Might take another business day in addition to the 3 for the transactions to fix themselves.

A good moral of the story is to always order once and wait 3-5 business days until it shows up on your account as a transaction. Holidays are usually longer.

ORD has always been good to me, one on one tips and recomendations, and always great customer service. One time Mr. Watson even crawled under my ride on the rocks at BB and told me exactly what I needed to do for a doubler. I finaly ended up ordering a full doubler from them, 205 and the 203 with the kit installed. I gave them my card info over the phone and they only charged me for the 203 and d-kit until the 205 was ready to ship. I can vouch for these guys I have personaly dealed with all of the Watsons and Chris and have nothing but good to say about OFFROAD DESIGN.

He's a member, only posts in the classifieds, and praised ORD in this thread: :waytogo:

I know that but the lack of response by the OP tells me this is a classic I can post on the internet and I will scenario. My guess is this was an over reaction type deal by the OP and now he will go back to posting only in the for sale forums etc.

It's most likely a very innocent mistake that the OP probably shares blame in but they will never admit that.

I believe in the old adage that it takes ten good things to over shadow one bad one, and the internet makes that even worse.
